Sapa - A mountainous district of Lao Cai. A land blessed with natural beauty, beautiful scenery, cuisine and people is the symbol for the rustic and peaceful here.

Having been desperate to go to the jewel in Lam Dong Province for such a long time maybe I had hyped it up too much and my myths were dispelled by a trip to the night market, which the signpost said was 1km from our hotel but as we strolled arm-in-arm it seemed shorter.

During this season Sapa becomes more attractive to visitors for its mystic, cloud-shrouded scenery. Both professional and amateur photographers come to the town to capture the stunning beauty that comes after the winter cold is gone and the sun begins to sporadically appear, usually about two weeks after Tet.
