The 8^thnortheastern ethnic cultural, sports and tourism festival 2012 will take place in Tuyen Quang province from 27 to 30 September 2012.

vietnam festival 2012 This is a major cultural event with the participation of northeastern provinces including Thai Nguyen, Bac Kan, Ha Giang, Lang Son, Bac Giang, Quang Ninh, Phu Tho and Vinh Phuc as an invited guest.

The festival will take place with many diversified activities such as: the opening ceremony with art performance program; photography exhibition “Cultural colours of the Northeastern ethnic groups”; Tuyen Quang trade – tourism fair 2012; Northeastern public art festival; cuisine contest to introduce culinary characteristics of each province; Tuyen Quang beauty contest; introducing traditional festivals, organizing Mid-Autumn festival; visiting Tan Trao historical, cultural and ecological relic (Son Duong district); organizing traditional sports games competitions.

This is an occasion to introduce cultural, sports, tourism potentials and promote values of cultural heritage of the Northeastern region to domestic and int’l visitors to contribute to economic development; educating patriotic tradition; strengthening national unity.

The 8^thnortheastern ethnic cultural, sports and tourism festival will be tied with Tuyen Quang cultural, tourism week 2012. So, this is an opportunity for Tuyen Quang to introduce historical traditional features in the revolutionary homeland; honor traditional values and promote tourism potentials of the province.
